Alternate sources of energy are indeed a perplexing dilema. When I lived in California there were several debates on the local level regarding alternative energy sources and the potential use of windmills. It seemed the advocates for an oil alternative were also opposed to the windmill idea because of the "eye sore" and destruction of grasslands. Whenever I fly over this area and can see the windmills from 20,000 feet, it makes me wonder what alternate energy source will (if any) satisfy everyones agendas while keeping up with the demand.
