Oh that looks like a nice spot ,i would drift a nightcrawler or red worm on a number 4 gamagatzu hook no split shots needed, just the weight of the worm and the hook,i would cast right up to the part where the water fall first comes down and let it drift.You'll know when he has it,you will see your line stop in the middle of the current,hes chewing on it then if you think the trout is on, pull up super super slowly,if hes on you should be able to lift him up alil

]I use this technique with my fly rod in the creeks in Alberta for Artic Grayling.It produces but you have to be so quiet as well take your time and drop the casts not splash them.
