[cool] I think i might could help ya out. I didn't know one of the top of my head but also got curious and poked around a little and came up with this:
Weight=L*G*G/K
L=Length of fish in inches
G=Girth of fish in inches
K=800 for fish with "normal" shaped bodies - Trout, Bass etc...
K=900 for fish with cylindrical bodies - Pike, Gar, Barracuda
Just for an example I guessed I caught a 14 inch trout with a 16 inch girth
So 14in*16in*16in gives me=3584
Now i divide by 800 and I get = 4.48
My fished weighed four and a half pounds
