use "Bait Cure"
or other drying cure containing Borax.
once applied to your baits you can then freeze them and keep them referegerated in a cooler for transport later.
some of the cures will hold for months in the frige or a year or better in the freezer.
try your local Bass Pro or cabela or gander mountain for the cure. (salmon egg cure- works with bait fish as well)
