Predator,
That's the best comment I've heard in a long time about politics in general, and this election specifically. Thank you for not sinking to the level of so many out there that feel that the way to win and "argument" or debate is to bash the opponent. It only shows lack of a clear direction on their part.
You asked for people to say why they should vote for one or the other, not why NOT to.
I am voting for Bush, because I believe he is a God-fearing man who sticks to his convictions. He tries to do what he thinks is right. I actually disagreed with us going to war with Iraq from the very beginning, but now that we are there, we've got to get the job done. We have a responsibility to those people now to help them get back on their feet. Unfortunately, to knock down bullies these days, it's virtually impossible to not also knock down the crowd of innocent bystanders at the same time. That's what I feel has happened in Iraq. We should have focused our efforts elsewhere or tried a different approach. Nevertheless, Bush did what he felt was right. He didn't back down because it was an unpopular decision, or because it has become an unpopular decision.
There are other things that I disagree with Bush about, but there are many things that he has said and done that align themselves very closely with my personal beliefs.
I wish we had more choices. One thing about Kerry that I agree with is that the tax cuts should stay for the working class, but the top 2% (over $200,000 per year) tax bracket should not have had the tax cuts extended.
I'm by no means an expert, just a regular citizen trying to make sense of an ironic, harsh world.
