Is Kerry a fool or what?
#26
I respectfully disagree. The term "pistol grip" is very loosely defined in this bill. Thats one reason it never passed. The last thing we need is a gun law that leaves everything to the imagination and personal interpretation. Photos show Kerry's hand resting on the "pistol grip," as loosely defined in the bill. [Section SEC. 2; (H) (ii) and (b)(42): "The term 'pistol grip' means a grip, a thumbhole stock, or any other characteristic that can function as a grip."]
I might be wrong, but don't tournament shooters in the olympics use guns with thumb hole stocks. The author(s) of this bill would like for us to believe they are targeting guns like the one you've shown. I think every one of my hunting rifles and shootguns have characteristics that can function as a grip. The photo of Kerry holding the shotgun by the "grip" is to show how loosely written bills can be interpreted differently.
