FISHING: Good
Deschutes River
Fair and Improving
There are beginning to be a good number of fish through the mouth of the river. It may take those fish up to a week to get form the Dalles dam to the mouth of the Deschutes. The majority of the fish are below or in Mack's Canyon but there are a few fish being caught above the canyon. The middle of next week should be the hot time to be there and fishing should continue to improve. Standard steelhead patterns on a swing are the best bet for hooking up. The rain has been great to get the fish moving and has not hurt the river at alll. Water conditions are good.
