Excellent. I just placed my order so I should have my rack by next week. I am sure I will be doing the same and raising the rod tubes so they are up and out of the water after I mount this to my toon. Or maybe I will build my casing for my batteries and mount the rack to that. Either way, good info to know, I am sure after I used it for the first time I would have gone the same route, but now I don't have to use the trial/error approach.
