Couldn't be a worse time for that sport. The popularity is declining and now the players and owners have to get all greedy. They should never have expanded so much when the sport was peaking in the early to mid 90's. I think they should have also put some of those teams in northern regions where the sport is more popular. Obviously Hartford suffered, but they were surrounded by the Bruins and 2 New York teams and a Jersey team that wins, but Minnesota was a good place to keep a team instead of moving them. They finally replaced them, but it was too late.
