Recent Fishing Reports for New Mexico
#5
JEMEZ STREAMS Action on the streams this past week was rated as fair by most anglers. The best reports came from anglers using small copper john barrs, small bead head hares ears and salmon eggs. The best reports we received came from the East Fork, the upper Jemez and the Cebolla below Fenton Lake.

MANZANO LAKE There were no reports from anglers this week.

NAVAJO LAKE Angler reports this week duplicated those from last week. Most of the kokanee were taken at depths of 20-to-30 feet and were in the area between Francis Canyon and the middle of the San Juan arm. Best baits were silver and green Arnies tipped with corn. Northern pike fishing slowed a bit but there were several taken in the 6-to-15 pound class. Best baits were spinner baits, jerk baits and top water lures. The pike can be found along the rip rap and on the flats in the Pine arm and the San Juan arm of the lake. There were a few black bass taken on drop shot rigs, jerk baits, crank
baits and jigs.
