MAXWELL LAKE 13 Fishing was slow for all species.
MCALLISTER LAKE fishing was generally slow with a few trout taken on wooly
buggers, power bait and spoons.
MONASTERY LAKE Trout fishing was fair-to-good this past week using corn,
power bait and salmon eggs.
MORPHY LAKE The road into the lake is quite rough and four wheel drive is
highly recommended. Fishing for trout was very good this past week as the
lake was recently stocked. Anglers did well using power bait, salmon eggs,
prop flies and spinners.
PECOS RIVER Water flow near the town of Pecos on Monday morning was 35cfs.
Trout fishing was rated as good this past week by anglers using small bead
head wooly buggers, caddis, bead head nymphs, worms and salmon eggs.
RED RIVER Monday flows were at 14cfs near Questa. Fishing was rated as fair
this past week by anglers using small bead head nymphs, worms and power
bait.
RIO GRANDE Water flow below Cochiti Lake was 361cfs. Fishing continued fair
using liver, worms and minnows for catfish. Water flow near the Taos
Junction Bridge was 184cfs. Good trout fishing reported again this past week
by anglers using streamers, bead head wooly buggers and red copper john
barrs. The best action was reported on the river above Questa.
