I was almost able to add four species to the list with only three fish .
on friday i went to the honey hole after work , it was raining and belive me , i needed to cool off a bit . one northern about 20" , dosens of 10" to 16" smallies and a black bass . i needed that black bass , but he was camera shy and pulled free right at my feet , i guess next time i'll take the net .
today i shot over to tippy 9 am to 8 pm , one scamanie steelhead ( i shoulda taken a pic , but released him before i realised what i was doing )
then i got a king on , the king had a lamprey as long as it was on him . if it wern't for the guys tring to hook onto my fish jumping i mighta beached them both .
yea , beached . i stumbled on the rocks and down went my net off my back . thought it was gone for good too . 4 hours later after my run in with the only two fish i had on all day i got a tug on my line . i set the hook it pulled and my line went downstream then stopped . i pulled again and it just held there , either i had on the most stuborn king or i was into a king that was broke off someonelses line and was tangled on the bottom . i leveled off my rod and started pulling as hard as i could , wouldn't ya ' know six pound test line sure is stronger than you would think it could be . pulled up my net and 8 illeagel snagger leads hooked into the netting . a couple of them were 6 oz. leads .
so lost my net , got it back , had a big king and a lamprey on and lost them too , and forgot to take a pic of another 18 " worth of points steelhead species .
oh yea , lost 12 1/4 oz . pencil leads , 7 3/8 pencil leads , only 4 three way barrel swivils , a dosen hooks and two flys .
yeee haaa , looks like i get to go shopping for more supplys [url "javascript: addTag('

i was one of three guys that landed "daytime" fish there . i heard two other guys that got fish the night before , total of 4 steelies and two kings .
the place has already started to get trashed bigtime , beercans , propane tanks and tons of fishing line everywhere . even saw some nimrod take a gas motor boat into the coffer to go about 30 feet out to tightline for fish .
