This may be premature for the ending to the thread but I just thought that I'd post what I think I learned and my conclusions.
First off - thanks Dude and BLM for furnishing me some real great info., not to say that others haven't offered some great comments too.
I have concluded (kind of suspected it before) - don't fish for Tigers without the proper equip. - If you do hook into one by accident with light line, whether in a tube, boat or shore, best to release, either by unhooking or cutting the line (assuming it doesn't break off first). Don't overtire them unless you mean to keep one (assuming it's over 40 "). If you know how to grab one in the soft tissue underneath the gills and tailing, make sure you know what you're doing, other wise just release. Don't even try to get him to shore unless he's leagal and you want to keep/mount. If you don't have a partner, probably not even good to even try to grab right.
