It's Raining Fish In Mississippi
#1
[#000000]OCEAN SPRINGS, MS—Gulf Islands National Seashore Ranger Melissa Perez and volunteer Adam Wilson say they were briefly pelted with small, very cold fish while on the park's pier during a recent thunderstorm.[/#000000]
[#000000]Perez and Wilson were looking for minnow traps near the pier when they say something began falling into the water. They discovered the source when two 3-inch-long, ice-cold fish hit the pier.[/#000000]
[#000000]Officials at the J.S. Scott Marine Education Center say one of two things could have happened: The thunderstorm could have pulled the fish into the cloud, where they were coated with ice (like hailstones) until they became heavy enough to fall, or the storm could have sucked them off a fishing boat and dropped them at the park.[/#000000]
