I ended up buy a larger 2way pump like TubeDude uses. Since the FC4 has 2 chambers instead of 1 like the SFC, I made a special hose that connect to both chambers at once and allows for uniform inflation.
While on the water in cold weather, I have a pressue sensor mounted that helps me to maintain the suggested 5psi for the tube.
Even if I fully deflate my tube, It only takes about 10 minutes to park, get dressed, air up and hit the water with all my gear. I'm glad I saw how well the 2way pump works over the 12v. It is a big time saver.
