Soaking Livers in Salt Water ???

I use 1 lb of salt to 1 gallon of water. You could put more salt if you would like but the dead liver can only absorb it at a slow rate. You will need to leave it in the solution for 3 days prior to using them for fishing.

You could also add any scenting agents at this time as they will self impregnate the liver and provide a uniform scent thoughout. This absorbtion rate is based upon the liver being sliced into 1inch thick slices.
