Plastic Swimbaits and Calico Bass
#4

Hey there aquaman,

We still use the iron. Especially for the barries. Straight drop for bass is great too. Yellows on the kelp paddies is still an awesome way to fish when you can get it.

Iron is still alive but people don't use the big 10 foot + jig sticks like they used to do for 1 mile casts. Materials are better and shorter rods and better reels can be used to throw a jig the same distance.

The newest entry into the jig market is the 544 which is a surface jig that swims with a real kick!

Truth is.... I've become kind of a plastics or live line bait freak of late on heavy duty 7 1/2 graphite sticks paired with Calcutta 400's or other special edition 5000ish ambasSador reels.
