Pecos River - June 30th, 2004

FISHING: Good

Pecos River: Rain overnight has spiked the gauge from 60cfs to 100cfs. Expect high, mostly clear water in the mainstem Pecos and tributaries until a day after the rain stops, then some great fishing. Fire Closures: No change. Because of potentail fire dangers, lots of spots are closed until our expected rainfall moistens the woods.
Jemez: all areas upstream of Jemez Springs including Fenton Lake are CLOSED including Fenton Lake. Jemez Falls Campground (the campground only) is open.
Pecos: Within the Pecos Canyon area, only Dalton Canyon (road and canyon land) is closed. Remaining trails and areas are open with restrictions.
Carson N.F.: Remains open with restrictions.
