Round, Sand, and Fish lake (report)6/21/04

I made a solo run up to Round, Sand, and Fish Lakes for greyling today. The roads were wet all the way up. I left the trail head at 5:45 and got to Round lake at 7:30. I went almost all the way around Round lake with no luck. Thats 4 trip's in a row being skunked at Round. So I moved on to Sand lake and had much better luck there. I caught 22 Greyling with a Brown and White body, Brown and black dot PM #4. I went next to Fish Lake had better luck there. I caught 26 Greyling and a brookie with the same PM.

I did get to see 3 deer, a Moose and the coolest thing of all. A herd of Mountain Goats just a little way up the cliffs from Fish lake.

A BFT outing is planned to go for Greyling on the 10th of July.
