Well we got there at 1030 and right off the bat the mudcats were a biting! Bruce my son couldnt keep them off the lines. About a half hour later my wife got into a huge fish ! It made some long runs as she got it closer to shore. She fought it for abot 10 minutes and there were times she couldnt even budge it.Finally it got behind a rock and busted her line. When she reeled the line in it was frayed so bad so we knew it was a rock that did her in.Samantha still hasnt caught a fish in a long time so she was extremle frustrated![pirate] Even with a bobber and worm she had no bites. After 12 the bite was extremely slow.So my daughter decided to jig instead of the bobber and worm thing .She landed a white bass a couple of minutes later and thats about all white bass she would get.I starting tossing spinner baits and see if i get lucky with a LMB.But that didnt happen the white bass starting hitting my spinner and i started catching the bigger ones .I ended up with 5 WB over 12 inches. My wife was still fuming over losing that big fish so she and bruce went back to the car for lunch. Then samantha wanted to give the worm and bobber 1 more try and 10 minutes later something big was on her pole! She fought it for at least 10 minutes. Finally when she brought it in it was a big channel.Must have been about 10 lbs easy.Well she is officially out of her rut now!
