I think she was just competitive because of all the smack she talked to me at work all week long about how she would catch all the fish and I would get nothin. Well, thanks to the folks on this site and a bit of luck, I managed to outfish her....in numbers anyway. I did catch two 17+ cutts and one honest 18, that was really nice and fat but nothing like that Kokanee. Also, I forgot to post earlier, we ran past the ladders and some of the coves on that side about 75 yards out from shore and I picked up the fish on the Yo Zuri crankbait over there. Sorry, I made it sound like all my fish came out of Soldier Creek but that wasn't the case. We trolled the Berry river channel on Sunday morning on the way back to the marina and I was the only one to catch a fish over there in front of Mud Creek and that was the only fish all weekend from that side. Everything else came from the windy side of the lake. The family is really competitive with thier fishing but its all in fun and its nice to be able to shut them up with a good fish or two... it was almost funny how quick she went quiet when I started yanking fish. [cool] But like I said, it was a great trip and it always makes me laugh and get excited trolling....You never see your rod do that on a stream, thats for sure..... I think thats what I like the most is seeing the rod come flying down towards the water and straining to get out of the holder..... Its a hoot. Everyone should do this trip once in thier time here in Utah....Its well worth it.
