During the summer at Utah Lake you can almost always find carp rising and within walking depth. Last year I walked around a lot of the shore line on the south end and was fishing for cat fish. There were carp all around me and the entire time I was there I was wishing I had my bow with me. I have found in the past that they will rise on warm days and stay below on colder days. I have never played much around the river channels but I hear lots of good things about it. If you ever want to wade around Utah Lake let me know and we can get together. The carp are in there all the time, you just have to find a warm day when they are rising.
