Those will probably work on the northern's around here. I caught a northern yesterday using a snelled hook connected to a snap-swivel. I had an angle worm on the hook. I cast out without weight and sat the rod down so it was resting against the rail of the fishing dock, turned around to grab my pliers which I keep in my pants side pocket (carpenter pants are great for fishing), and just as I turned around my rod started to bend over. I set the hook and as I reeled in, I found a little (20 inch) northern on the other side of my line. I let him keep the hook and fish. Didn't feel like getting the hook out of its gut.
So yes, them Gulp products just might work on the northerns as well. Now if I can get a walleye to bite it also, that would be great!
