Went to P.V. Saturday with only"limited" success. The water temps ranged from 53 in the morning to 62 in the afternoon and is very near full pool. I was hoping to avoid the power brigade, but they were all out in full force braving the cold water. I was mainly targeting tigers and throwing various perch imitating lures. I had one follow, but not much else. The interesting thing was that I SAW more tigers than I have ever seen. It might have been due to the clearer than normal water, or them seeking warmer surface water, but to actually see that many was very encouraging. None that I saw looked like monsters, but it just makes me want to get a decent sized one that much more! I also noticed quite a few young-of-the year crappie dead or dying on the water's surface. Anyone know what's up with that? The only fish I did get were a carp snagged in the tail, and about an 8" smallie. Could have been a more productive trip, but sure beats mowing the lawn!
