Rock bass fishing

Lately my friend and I have been catching alot of these at night while fishing for walleye. We have been picking them up with everything from a nightcrawler to 5 inch shiners and crankbaits. One variation though, most don't have the orange eyes, their eyes seem to be more on a very light tan-yellow color. They are still a ball to catch though. Sometimes upwards of 25-50 a night.
