Putting all jokes aside, fishing for ice is a very challenging sport ! First you have to have a stiff rod, and strong enough line for the berg your after ! Then you have to have a big enough net to net it with when you tire it out and get it close to the boat ( or shore ). Then it helps to have a gaff of some sort to get the big ones in that don't fit in the net ! The big trouble your going to have is have a cooler big enough, and cold enough to get it home without spoiling ! I've seen ones that spoiled and its not a pretty site, they flatten down to nothing. If you get it home in one peice, Its good in drinks and makes good homemade icecream ! I've tried cooking it , but it keeps putting my grill out ! ( must be oily or something ) but if you boil it, its turns out great !, I've never got to try it cause by the time it gets cooked, somebody always beats me to it cause its always gone !! Any way, remember its just a sport and you should still practice catch and release if you have enough in your frezzer !! Thanks for asking , Flagmanonice
