i love fishing spinnerbaits first no sinkers needed a couple things that work for me is don't be afraid to fish next to the bank by this i mean parallel and within a foot or two spinnerbaits are almost snag free don't be afraid to cast over a fallin tree and when you come up to a branch in the water lower your rod stop reeling and then raise your rod pulling the spinner over the branch again drop your rod tip letting the spinner drop on a slack line this will often get you a strike watch your line for a twitch
crankbaits again no weight i don't use cranks much as i fish from the bank and the ones with lips just dig into the bottom i do use lip less quiet a bit my basic stragity is fan cast and this type of lure you want to reel fast
jigs again no extra weight fish them as you would a plastic worms throw them to rocks along the bank weed beds and along docks something that has worked good for me with jigs and plastic worms is to fish off docks towards the bank cast your jig onto the bank and hop it into the water working it back to you alot of the times you get a bite as soon as it hits the water
hope this helps you out some good luck on your next trip
