Hey, ssor, just read your profile and would like to say I'm sorry, but you'd probably take offense and put a curse on my reels so they'd get birdnests everytime I cast. I don't feel sorry for myself either.
After 30 years in the construction trade (electrician), I'm not in much better shape. So far I have refused to apply for a disabled hunting and fishing license, parking permit or even utilize the disabled sections on my local fishing holes. I figure as long as I can still walk from my truck to the bank, I'm in better shape than some of the people I see fishing.
Speaking of which. I have been conducting research on adjustments and accommodations made by state agencies for the less mobile.Colorado is not at the top of the list but is making headway. What have other states done, or is being done, to accommodate those less agile or must use a wheelchair, canes or crutches. I have checked the reply box to send all replies to my real email address and I will keep all responses confidential (no names). Please include your state.
Am I for real? Yes I am and am serious about this. I think it's about time the states realized that just because we're biologically advantaged (older), we still like to fish and hunt along with the younger generation.
Sorry, I got carried away there.
