when catfishing i tape on a small calimune snap light also if i am in a boat i use a float light to draw in bait so the fish come to me.try a green sheild on the latern might help with bugs but it dims light i use 5 laterns as i like the extra light.also try useing yellow line helps to see it also i have used a clip on bell to detect stricks if i was busy tieing up hooks,also putting together a few setups before hand will save time when your tring to get back in the water.
