Good post!! Every time I go fishing I usually loose 1 lure if I'm lucky, other days when I'm not so lucky...it gets ugly. The first thing that I try when I feel my lure start to snag is to jerk my rod to try and break it free. Some days that works against me and it gets it snagged even more. So once I'm snagged I put pressure on it and walk up and down the shore hoping it will come free. Sometimes that works and some times it doesnt.
Something that I'm going to buy in the near future is the E-Z Lure Retriever Kit from bass pro shops. Here's the ad below, it only costs $9.99. It looks like it would work for me[
