Hi there daymere,
Good suggestions. Here's a few I would consider in some circumstances.
1) Set a decoy tube in a spot and pretend your talking to your 'lucky buddy' catching fish. When the idiots run over to your buddies spot, you move into theirs!
2) Set up detour signs on the single road leading to your fishing spot.
3) Dynamite any bridge or causeway leading to your hotspot if it's off the beaten track.
4) Post lake closure signs in various areas.
5) Build a small pier out to your spot.
