Theoretically you would probably be able to adapt something like that. As I do recall, once you put a motor on any watercraft you will be required to register it. That could be the only drawback.
Another point to consider is if your tube can handle the extra weight concentrated in a small area. I would suggest some light tests before proceeding.
What kind of tube do you have?? That can make a difference as to the feasability of the adaptation.
