We fished Echo from 7-11:30, slowly drifting our 3 favorite shorelines helped by just the right ripple until whitecaps came at quittin' time. Water temp down to 62, and lake level has dropped 5' or so from last visit a week or so ago. Buddy once again boated our best smallies, 14 to 16", with his spinnerbait. We also tallied some nice perch, but neither the size nor the numbers that Jordanelle produced. Slow, light, uncommitted morning bite turned frequent & aggressive after 9am, just the opposite of last month's pattern. Ramp conditions still good. About a dozen other boats roaming the water, plus 2 eagles.
