I've been a DuckDuckGo user for several years now with uBlock Origin ad blocker. I did a little research and found this comparison of the two browsers - DuckDuckGo vs Brave.
Do consider using the Brave browser. It has a VERY good ad blocker built in, and is one of the more private and secure browsers.

I like to keeps things as simple as possible, so I'm going to stick with DuckDuckGo. But Brave seems like a reasonable alternative for those looking for a little more customization ability.
