Back in the day, when we use to do the Floattilla up there, a few of us got to know the lake a little and a few of us found those shallow spots, I even had to jump out of the boat once and push it off a sand bar. Down lake, toward the dam was much easier but not as many fish there imo. It was really cool launching at that upper end and floating down that section. Those were good times.
