I am taking 10 young men from church to FG. Actually, 5 other adults are taking them, I volunteered to bring my boat for anyone who wants to fish. There is one other 22 ft non-fishing boat going to pull kids on toys. Anyhow, we are camping at Mustang Ridge campground and I have never been to that part of the FG. I have only fished Lucerne and Sheep Creek areas 3 times, but that was in Dec and April. I realize Aug isn’t an ideal time to fish. I have no downrigger yet but bought some 2 and 3 oz clip on weights for trolling. I downloaded a F & G map with recommendations for pups and burbot, but there is hardly any markings around Mustang Ridge area. I wanted to troll and jig for trout, jig for Kokanee and lake trout, maybe catch some smallmouth and have the kids catch crawdads at night. Any suggestions for some areas to do this would be greatly appreciated.
