We arrived early and were fishing by 630. 1st spot got a koke, a rainbow and lost a big koke at the boat within the 1st 15 min. We thought, oh boy, it's going to be hot fishing today. Not so much. It went cold fast and we did a lot of searching. We did end up catching a dozen or so rainbows, 8 kokes, (4 small ones that we released), and a splake. We lost a couple of really nice kokes, they just wouldn't stay hooked with some pretty amazing acrobatics thrown in to flip us the middle fin. Green, orange and pink all caught fish with really no clear preference. We finished at just before noon keeping 4 trout and the 4 kokes. My daughter-in-law loves trout so she took those home.Did you keep the splake? Splake and tiger trout are as good as kokanee when it comes to eating due to the char half (Brook Trout). IMHO! ?
Power squadron wasn't too bad, but it was still bumpy later in the morning.
