Sorry to hear your ride left you stranded.

After an engine rebuild and now a tranny I'd be looking at a Chev or GMC.

The reality is all of the manufacturers have issues, that's why I cycle trucks out every 2 years, and never own them outside of warranty. I will only own Fords.

That explains why you have to cycle them out every two years.

My fishing truck is a twenty-six year old GMC.  It has 284,000 miles on it with only a water pump, and fuel pump replacement and no transmission trouble.  

Maybe I'm just lucky.
