"What I found out is in early light or cloudy conditions, glow works especially well"
I recently started using fluorescent color in murky water due to heavy rains. Fish bit them just as good as bright white and plastic with sparkles. Note the bright chart/pink Crappie Magnet grub. It also caught over 2 doz panfish.

Another was a bright white lure I poured, rigged on a 1/64 oz jig:

This lure with flakes was made by joining the bodies of two tubes together:

I caught pannies like crazy!
"?wonder bread colors?"
You mean white?
"a colored jig, with no plastic?"
I don't see the point. Soft plastic shapes allow versatility; a jig and no lure doesn't do anything except swing or drop. I believe lures are designed to trigger strikes. Lure shape and size dictate it.
