I went solo for the first time in the new Lund.  Due to reports on the cleaning station not open at the South Marina, I launched at the North Marina.  I was on the water and fishing at 10 AM.  I started with a crawler harness and a crank off downriggers set at 15 to 20 feet at 1.5 mph.  Nada.  Another solo fisherman came by and said he limited out on surface cranks.  So, I ditched the harness and went with cranks on the surface.  Setback was 75 feet and speed was 1.8 to 2.0.  BINGO.

One 14 3/4" walleye came 30 minutes later.  That crank was working.  I rotated a dozen cranks on the other rod with zero success.  But the other crank produced a nice wiper that was 4 lbs, 7 oz at 21".  And a little later, my second eye (14") came to the live well.  I quit at 2 PM.  Here is the take home.

Here is the lure that worked.
