They may have been more active early? Other anglers may’s have gotten them only saw a couple others caught. But they nave have done well early and left. Oh well that’s fishing!
Purple light, as I call it, is my favorite time to fish for kokanee. Just light enough to see. It seems that is their most active time of the day.
It's fishing though, as you said. Some days they cooperate. Some days they don't.
