I bought the puck style first, but the way my boat is shaped, I couldn't get 3 attachment points that I felt were secure and still have clearance for the motor to deploy. I then bought the longer mount and was able to get the right angle and clearance and have it secure. I still have the puck style mount - if anyone can use it, let me know - happy to donate it to the cause.
PM sent. Yeah I liked the puck mount, just would have to mount it too far back on the bow to get the attachment points, then the motor wouldn't clear the front.
