New line that replaces Nanofil!! Finally...
#22
I tried the Seaguar knot and find it a pain to tie since you have to run the entire leader through the loop. With a 2' leader that might not be too bad, but on my trolling rods, I have at least a 6' leader. With the Alberto knot (or improved Allbright, you choose the name), you don't worry about leader length. Additionally, I top-shot my reels with superline, so there is no practical way to tie the Seaguar knot since my top-shot is 75 yards long. I've tried the uni-to-uni and that sucker slips with Nanofil, so that one is out for sure. I do agree to tighten VERY slowly WITH saliva or you will break your mono/flouro pretty easily! One more tip on the Alberto, don't be stingy with the tag ends of mono or the superline. It is SO much more easy to tighten these knot with a 6" or longer tag end.
