I suggested Utah Lake, since it has 31 sites with full hookups. (water, power, sewer).
I have never fished Utah Lake, so was looking forward to it.
Someone stated that there are loads of mosquitos in May, and the destination has not been approved yet.
Can someone give me some accurate info on the bug situation there during the second week of may?

Fishing in May is as good as it will get all year...for most species. You didn't mention any specific targeted species, but in May the white bass are at their annual crescendo...massing up to spawn and actively hitting almost anything. Walleyes are in their post spawn feeding cycle and chances are good for some bigguns. Catfish are just moving into the shallows and around the rocks for their annual "dating frolic". Water temps are in the ideal 60s or 70s to produce fishy activity and provide good battles. May on Utah Lake? Go for it. Here are a few writeups to help influence your thinking.
