That's what Tubedude calls 'Perch Point'. I'd like to get out one more time this year and then hang it up until next spring. I'm torn between going to Strawberry or Rockport for my last trip. Do you and Cookie ever go to Strawberry.
We do go to strawberry but not as often as we use to. That said, if weather cooperates we may try it Saturday.

But drifting at 2 mph it made for some decent trout catching. Left about noon had caught about a dozen perch in the 8 to 10 inch range. Hopefully they put some weight on for the ice fishing season. All the trout were chunky. Lance took a heavy 19 inch home for dinner. The water skier was there fairly early.Did ya see me and my cowboy at at RP ? Hard to miss my head shade. I hope to see ya out there this winter
Sunday went to Strawberry, all the docks are pulled but still quit a few boats on the water. With it being only our second time fishing Strawberry and the first being on the ice. So figured the couple dozen skinny cutthroat and a few chunky rainbows wasn't a total bust for the day.
Hoping to make it back to Rockport at least once before it freezes. Will definitely make several trips during the winter and maybe even 1 or 2 to Strawberry on the ice.

Of all of the times I fished RP there was one time I stopped on the side of the main road next to the lake to check out some grave markers sitting on top of a little hill. Does anyone know of the history they can share with about that site?
Here is a link with a little bit of info about it but not much. Cookie has some books from the history of summit County and is checking them
