Rockport shore report
#4
Made it to Rockport Saturday. Hoping for Pech but with the heavy breeze that was blowing, with no spot lock it was tough to target perch. But drifting at 2 mph it made for some decent trout catching. Left about noon had caught about a dozen perch in the 8 to 10 inch range. Hopefully they put some weight on for the ice fishing season. All the trout were chunky. Lance took a heavy 19 inch home for dinner. The water skier was there fairly early.
Sunday went to Strawberry, all the docks are pulled but still quit a few boats on the water. With it being only our second time fishing Strawberry and the first being on the ice. So figured the couple dozen skinny cutthroat and a few chunky rainbows wasn't a total bust for the day.
Hoping to make it back to Rockport at least once before it freezes. Will definitely make several trips during the winter and maybe even 1 or 2 to Strawberry on the ice.
