Couple of years ago I hiked into Abe Lake up the middle fork of the Weber. Access is from the trailhead on FR55 next to the Gardner Fork. It's not a hard trail, in and out of shade, bring plenty of water.
I went around this time of year and found very little water in the river. a few pools holding a few fish. Very pretty trail.
Abe lake was better with small cutts.
Understand that this was the last of the drought years and before the epic year.
