[size 2]9–11". Oval, very compressed. Back rounded, dark green; sides silvery green, with many blackish spots. Dorsal fins continuous, rounded, 1st with 7–8 spines; tail fin forked; anal fin high; all fins have wavy black lines. Forehead concave; lower jaw projects.
