The action is on for catch and release season for Michigan.<br>I went out yesterday and landed two rainbows on the Huron River with my "dog flies". This was an experiment I did with my dogs down that she shed this past winter.<br><br>They seemed to like the white fuzz and the chartreuse bodies.<br><br>They did not like the white fuzz and black bodies. Too many black debris floating down the river.<br><br>These were the only ones I had to try on them.<br><br>I ran in to a young lady out there fly-fishing with her 3-year-old son. I was sooo impressed by her on so many levels; I didn’t know what to be impressed about the most. The fact that she came out on her own to fish, the fact she was teaching her 3 year old son, the fact that she out classed me in her ability to handle a fly rod better than any one else on the river.
