I haven't used simple green that's interesting. Probably cheaper if it works. I use stuff called Hot Sauce off Amazon is the cheapest I've found. It was recommended to me and it works great, it's a vinegar based solution.

You nailed it, a vinegar based solution is all you need, just go to the dollar store and get a spray bottle buy a gallon of white vinegar. I mix mine in a 50/50 of vinegar and water, others use a different mixture but it cuts that crud off your boat like no ones business.
